SHECon2020 Vendor Spotlight: Handzy Shop + Studio and Microcosm Publishing & Distribution

We're gearing up for the first Super Heroines Con (Aug. 3-9) and we'll be spotlighting our vendors here on the SHE blog. Next up is Handzy Shop + Studio and Microcosm Publishing & Distribution!

Brittney + Suzy are best friends and co-owners of Handzy Shop + Studio. Handzy is the cutest shop in town! They carry women’s clothing, lifestyle accessories, paper goods, gifts and more. And the studio part? Well, they have their own line of watercolor greeting cards that they design in-house! As a small business founded in (best) friendship, they always strive to extend the same affection to their customers!

Elly Blue is the co-owner and marketing and editorial director of Microcosm Publishing & Distribution, a midlist independent book publisher based in Portland, Oregon. For 25 years, Microcosm connected readers with books and zines that put your power in your hands. Their books are mainly nonfiction but they publish an annual feminist bicycle science-fiction anthology and are launching a new line of queer erotica. Microcosm books cover a wide range of topics, including feminism, bicycling, punk, mental health, healthy relationships, queer heroes, anti-racism, people’s history, creativity, and do-it-yourself. Elly also hosts a podcast called A People’s Guide to Publishing.

Meet Brittney, Suzy and Elly during SHECon's virtual brunch from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 8! To see the full con schedule and register to attend, go to https://superheroinesetc.org/events/super-heroines-con/schedule/.
