BOARD POSITION: Marketing Coordinator
Attention Marketing Mavens!

Super Heroines, Etc. (SHE) is seeking a new board member who can take on the mantle of marketing our brand. We are seeking a savvy super heroine/hero who can help develop a long-term marketing and branding plan, provide guidance to board members and event hosts, and assist with writing copy for events, marketing materials, and newsletter.

Social media will be a key part of the job and we are looking for someone who can regularly and consistently create and search out fantastic women-oriented and geeky content to share on the SHE social media platforms. With Facebook and Twitter being our top priorities, we would need someone who can create and manage Facebook ads, add high priority events to Facebook to help boost participation, retweet and respond to relevant Twitter content, and create graphics (either via our Canva account or by your own magical means).

This role will work closely with the Web Manager to ensure messaging is consistent with overall marketing and communication objectives. We hope the person in this role will eventually initiate media opportunities and build relationships with key industry media.

If you are ready to develop strategies for increasing social media engagement to convert followers into participants and donors, work side-by-side with our bloggers to promote SHE’s website content, flood the social media airways with content that empowers geeky women, and promote our, we are ready for you!
Preferred (but not required) Experience:

  • Familiar with SHE and our mission
  • Previous marketing role in a non-profit or business
  • Social media presence
  • Familiarity with visual design principles and computer programs such as Photoshop or
    Canva
